This is a brand new map in one sense, and a third edition in another. The former map of Istanbul was a single-sided sheet that covered only the city itself. This city map has been updated to 2012 standards and I'm sure that the title would continue to sell well if we had done nothing more. Obviously, we have 'gone the extra mile' and "done" something, by adding all of Western Turkey to the other side of the sheet. This includes the Dardanelles, the Gallipoli Peninsula, the entire Izmir Coast and off-shore islands, the southern Mediterranean coast as far east as Tarsus, and the Black Sea coastline as far as Ayancik. This makes the map equally useful for users to enjoy Istanbul itself and for a travel road map of all of Turkey from the Greek/Bulgarian borders to east of Ankara. The Cappadocia Region is shown on the right-hand side of the map, just east of Nevsehir. Turkey is a wonderful country to visit and this one map will now meet the aspirations of most travellers.
